After my son Theo’s play date for the day was cancelled because his buddy was sick, and I ended up battling for what seemed like hours with him to turn off his computer and take a break from Minecraft, I was struggling with what to do for today’s Giveaway. I wrote this limerick to myself to help me figure it out.

I’ve committed to this daily blog

But my head is lost in a fog

What can I write today

For my darn Giveaway?

Sometimes it’s a bit of a slog…

Then I realized I had this book in my car ready to give away.

Perfect. I took it to the Little Free Library in front of Theo’s school and left it there for any night browsers who might stop by. When I got home, the following limerick spilled out.

When I’m feeling like the Walking Dead

Cos video games mess with my head.

It’s hard to be witty

When I’m feeling so sh***y

So I’ll just lumber off to my bed…
