A hot day in LA,

Temps around 100.

Not too brave in this heat wave

Stayed indoors with my kindred.

Tried to stay cool, no swimming pool,

Rain’s a distant dream.

Son’s at a loose end with his good friend.

Time to buy ice cream.

Jumped in my car; the store’s not far

Could do my Giveaway on the fly.

Picked up three flavors for us to savor

Left behind a CD of Vanilla Sky…
