Woke up in a haze, have been coughing for days,

Not feeling my best, so really should rest.

Chose to stay home, mostly alone

But what of my blog, if I’m sick as a dog?

My brain’s in slow gear. I’ll screw up, I fear.

How to do my giveaway, on such a feeling-crappy day?

The panic is mounting, my options I’m counting,

My spirits aren’t lifting enough to be gifting.

I get in the car, and drive not very far
